U25 Internationals 2018 – ‘Patrick Burns Trophy’

Congratulations to the AIIB U25 team who had a successful weekend at the recent Junior International series, winning their first game in over ten years by defeating Scotland in the first game.

A new trophy for the best Ireland player of the series was presented for the first time. The trophy in memory of Patrick Burns, who would have been 30 during the Internationals, was awarded to Dean Mills.

Patrick’s father John came along to launch the new award, pictured below with Colin Campbell, U25 manager, AIIB President Ivan Lynn and Ireland teams manager Clifford Craig.

Dean Mills becomes the first winner of the trophy, pictured below.

The AIIB President Ivan Lynn also awarded a prize to Ireland’s most successful rink.
